Rome Was Built in a Day Unisex Short Sleeve T-shirt
Availability: In stock
If Rome was indeed built in a day, it was on that day - April 21st. The traditional year given by Varro is 753 BCE. Historians would say that this is too late for the first settlement and probably too early for serious urbanization, but the Romans wouldn't care. The day when Rome was founded marked an important milestone in history and the simple fact, that various authors gave different dates didn't bother them that much.
The image comes from the fresco of Giuseppe Caesari "Romulus Plows the Boundary Line around the Future City of Rome" that can be seen in Rome.
